Switching between EAP and stable releases

Hi

I've been trying out 7.0 for awhile now, am not on M1b (6833) and downloading 7041. Wondering whether I can expect to go back and forth between the 6.0 series releases and the EAP releases--will all my project files/configuration/etc. work unchanged (at least, is that the plan)? There are some annoyances in 6833 that I'm hoping are resolved in the new 7K series but am wondering if I shouldn't just back off to the 6.0 series, and if there is any magic I need to do to do so.

TIA
Patrick

Personally I wouldn't recommend sharing project configuration files between 6 and 7, I think the module files have changed considerably with the introduction of facets instead of module types.

Post M1 (6833) builds use a new project/module file format.

When you open your project in 7041 you'll be asked to convert your project files. It saves your old files in a folder 'projectFilesBackup'.

I would assume that if you hang on to those files you should have no problem reverting. I reverted from 7041 back to 6833 as I found 7041 unusable for my purposes (I develop web applications, and the new facet stuff is pretty broken).

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to assume it's possible but won't convert my project files for now.
