sharing projects

I'm using 7.01b on linux and windows.

I created my project under linux, and checked in the project files (ipr) as well as all the modules files (iml). When I checkout the project on my windows box, I can't load the ipr as it says that all the modules have a path "/home/nlott/..." that cannot be found. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Neil

Use the relative paths setting in project, not absolute.

I did use relative paths in each of the modules. Is there another setting somewhere else?

I just noticed something like this today too... I renamed the root
directory that my project and modules were in, but then the project
wouldn't load properly as it had absolute path refs to the module files
that contained the old directory name. I definitely had 'References to
resources outside project file directory' set to relative in the project
settings.

The project file is in the same directory as one of the modules, with
the other modules in sub directories of the root ie:

root
+-module1dir
+-module1.ipr
+-module1.iml
+-module2dir
+-module2.iml
etc.

Can you send me your ipr & iml files for a look?

Neil - an even more flexible option is to use Path Vairables under IDE Settings. With this you can setup multiple non-relative directories that can be different and per machine or even changed easily on the same machine.
