TMate with Selena

Hi,

Is TMate supposed to work in Selena? I have been a happy TMate user for quite some time, and I fear for the day it is no longer supported. The TMate interface for browsing changes is still the best I've seen. The Selena Browse Changes feature is much better than 6.0's, which was hopeless, but it's still a far cry from TMate's usability.

I did briefly get TMate to appear in Selena, but it seems to trigger a lot of exceptions and the features don't work properly:
- CtrlShiftT doesn't bring up the changes view.
- I cannot reliably bring up the changes view from the menu.
- The TMate tab disappeared after a restart of IDEA.
- The changes view doesn't use the correct URL roots, so I can't "Go to source" any more.

I would love it if you guys simply integrated the TMate changes view into IDEA in place of the current Browse Changes feature! Is the need to run stuff on the server preventing this?

Uh oh, I am afraid this is bad news for you, then:

"The TMate product has been discontinued, and we don't have any plans to restore these
APIs or to release a Selena compatible version of TMate."

On the upside many of TMates features will make it into Idea itself.

We won't exactly integrate the TMate changes view, but we do plan to include
many more of TMate's features into IDEA. The version of Browse Changes included
in Selena M1 is just a start - quite a lot of work on this is planned for
the next milestone.
