6784 hung twice today

IDEA build 6784 hung twice this morning and I had to kill the process. I was simply editing a file when the "spinning beachball" appeared and would not go away after several minutes. As someone else has suggested, could this be due to multi-core CPU race conditions?

machine: Mac OS X, Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz

We're experiencing the same thing here and it looks like to be Mac
OSX-specific. We filed a bug to Apple and contacted directly the
responsible person at Apple.

For now a workaround is to turn off project inspections.

Thanks Kirill, I've disabled all inspections in Settings->Errors, for now. This is Apple's bug? Build 6708 didn't have this problem, that's the one I always go back to when newer builds become unbearable, and the JDK hasn't changed.

yeah the hangs are too annoying to use Selena on OSX. Please keep this thread updated for when us poor OSXies can get back to reporting bugs and making friends with the RCOD!

It's apparently not good to hang the whole JVM whatever bad things we do inside it. We did something that causes this to happen, however there is an Apple's part in it.

We will make you updated on any changes.

We've disable multi-core analyses in 6799 on Mac OS X until we get any
ideas what may cause this problem. Thus, it's safe to upgrade to 6799.
