Can I use Perforce plugin in Comunity Edition?

Hi,

I have a licence number for IntelliJ 10 Ultimate but I want to use the comunity edition with perforce integration.
Can I somehow tell the comunity edition my licence number so that it allows me to install the Perforce plugin?

Thnaks,
Dumitru.

Hello Dumitru,

No. Surprisingly enough, The open-source Community Edition doesn't include
any code for checking the license keys of IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.

Why don't you simply disable all of the unneeded plugins in your IntelliJ
IDEA Ultimate installation?

Thanks for your prompt response, Dmitry.
So, the reason I want to use the comunity version is to be able to debug the plugin I write and see the actual variable names (not the obfuscated ones!).
Any suggestion with this?

Hello Dumitru,

You can use IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate to develop your plugin and IntelliJ IDEA
Community Edition as the target platform under which you run the plugin.
