How do I register IDEA 12 (Leda)?

I installed Leda so that I could play with the latest Kotlin milestone.  I have a personal license key that I'd like you use with Leda so that it doesn't expire in 30 days, however the "Register" option under the Help menu is disabled.

How can I register Leda?

You can't. Not yet. Leda (IDEA 12) is still in EAP (Early Access Program) phase. In other words, it is still under development and has not been released. It's beta software. When it is released (typically late 4th quarter) you will then be able to purchase an upgrade for 12. In the meantime, you need to use the EAP trial license. You need not be overly concerned about the 30 day trial because with each new EAP release the 30 day trial clock resets. And JetBrains typically releases a new EAP build every 2 to 3 weeks. And as we get closer to the release date, builds are typically released more frequently (every 1 to 2 weeks). Either way, in the 9 years I've been using EAP releases, they have never gone longer than 30 days between publishing a new build, so the 30 day clock never expired. So just download newer versions when they are released (or as the 30 day timer on the version you are currently running expires) from the IDEA 12 EAP page. If you create an account for the Confluence Wiki, you can watch the EAP page (Tools > Watch) and get a notification when a new build is published.
