How to capture debugging on a lockup?

Idea has been consistently locking up on me all day. I've tried installing the new beta (I didn't wipe out my user preferences), and I've had the same problem. It doesn't crash, or have an exception that I can see... it just hangs. It won't repaint, and profiling won't give me any additional information, because I can never end the profiling session. I'd like to submit a bug on this, but I just don't have any useful information. Any ideas on how to get information on what's happening?

Run IDEA with a console (idea.bat instead of idea.exe on Windows), and press
Ctrl-Break in the console window to get a thread dump.

Do you happen to use the Perforce integration, by the way?

I recently found out that my .IntelliJIdea60 directory was being copied to our servers (via windows roaming profiles). I relocated the directory so this wouldn't happen, and started idea without any existing configuration (I didn't import my settings or use the existing .IntelliJIdea60). Everything is cleared up now.

Thanks
