Revert from Commit Project

If I'm remembering correctly, it used to be possible to revert individual files from the Commit Changes dialog, which was rather convenient. Now there doesn't seem to be any way to revert files from this dialog. Will this capability come back?

(By the way, the Version Control menu command that brings up this dialog is called "Commit Project", but the dialog is called "Commit Changes". Seems like this should be fixed.)

Yes. You can watch http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-8180 to get
notified when it's implemented.

Could you please file a JIRA issue for this?

Am I missing something or was it once possible to see unversioned files within the commit window as well for Subversion? I was assuming that was the purpose of the "Show Unresolved" checkbox, but it seems it isn't.

I've just tried in 5.1.2 and it's not possible there either, so maybe I'm just remembering functionality that was available in the CVS commit dialog. If it doesn't exist, is there a possiblity that this functionality can be added, since I don't like missing files from the commit.

It's not clear how exactly this can be implemented now. "Commit Changes"
dialog shows the contents of a particular changelist, and the unversioned
files do not belong to any changelist.

Hmm, that's a shame, because the reason this would be handy is that I want to add the unversioned files to the changelist without having to exit the dialog.

I guess I'll have to get into the habit of checking the project status before each commit.

Have you tried using the Changes toolwindow for this?

Ahah, that helps ;)

I must admit I hadn't even seen the tab at the bottom of the screen, so thanks for pointing that out!
