Search Structurally - Scoping Issue

I don't have enough info to file a bug report yet, but I thought I'd post this to see if anyone else has run into it. I'm having an issue where a "Search Structurally" on "Project Files" finds no results, where searching on "Current File" (a Java file in the project source tree) finds a result.

The search I'm using is actually a very simple one - searching for uses of a string constant. (Why use S.S. for this? It's much faster than a text search.)

I'm trying to put together a simple test case now, but may be unable to, since the problem may involve indexing issues with the particular project (it's fairly big).

E.g. say I want to find all uses in the project of the exact string constant "Hello" (yes, they should probably be using an actual Java constant for this, but it's not my code...)

EDIT: I've tried but been unable to reproduce this with a smaller project. I have, however, run into another issue where the dialog will claim that a search of this form is "malformed" or "does not match in the selected scope" or both, even when neither are true. I haven't been able to consistently reproduce that one yet, either.

Yes, I see this a lot and Maxim Mossienko knows and looks at some of the issues I raised.

Cheers,

The issue mentions build 5289 in "fix version(s)". Is this indicating that it should be fixed in 5289? I am running that version now and the issue is still present here (originally encountered in 5281).
