Import from JBuilder feature

Hi all

I was told I should post questions about Irida in here.

I have fired up Irida #3396. I notice in the feature list that JBuilder
import support was added back in #3370. However, in the version I have
installed, "Import from JBuilder" is grayed out in the file menu. I can't
seem to find anything on this feature in the help. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Bruce.

Bruce,
it is enabled when you have an already configured project.
Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Thanks Tim and Anna.

Yes, when I create a new IDEA project the feature is enabled. When I select
"Import from JBuilder" and fill in the directories, then press OK, nothing
seems to be imported.

The directories I used were:

User Home:
c:\Documents and Settings\\.jbuilder9 also tried c:\Documents and Settings\\.jbuilder JBuilder Home C:\Program Files\JBuilder9 JBuilder Project also tried Am I using the right paths here? Thanks. "Anna Kozlova (JetBrains)" ]]> wrote in message

Bruce,

'JBuilder User home' and 'JBuilder home' are directories in which we are
looking for ~*.library files to import your libraries, application servers,
jdks and so on. 'JBuilder Project' - is a directory containing JBuilder's
project file (*.jpx). Seems that you configured everything right.
It's very strange that nothing happens ... Were there some exceptions? May
be in log?
Thank you.

Anna,

Unfortunately my evaluation licence has just expired so I can't try it
again. I can check for a log though. Where should I look for this log?

Bruce.

Bruce,
you can work with "EAP license" :)
Our log file by default located in User
Home/.IntellijIdea/system/logs/idea.log

May be you can send me your JBuilder project files?
Thanks.

I can't import the sample projects from JBuilder2005 on the Mac.

I have a 30 day license for JBuilder, and would like to import projects into IDEA. I have a proper license for IDEA :)

I am setting JBuilder User Home to /Users/rscorer/.jbuilder2005
JBuilder Home to /Developer/Applications/Borland/JBuilder2005/JBuilder.framework/lib
and
choosing the project to import:
/Developer/Applications/Borland/JBuilder2005/JBuilder.framework/samples/ShoppingCart/

I have attached a sample from the logfile, doesn't mean much to me :)

I tried this from 5.0 and EAP versions.

Thanks!

Hello,
you should point the JBuilder Home to directory which contains the JBuilder installation not only libs. I hope it helps.
Best regards

Anna,

That seems to have helped a little bit, thanks!

I can now import the sample project, but not my work project. I will investigate that further.

Thanks

Could you please send me your project files (configs)? It would help me to investigate this problem. Thank you.

I will ask if I can send anything to you. If it were my project, I'd be able to - but it is another group. So I need permission.

Which files, I assume the .JPX file? Or do you mean my IntelliJ configs?

Sorry to be confused - there are so many config files floating around me at the moment ;)

Hello Richard,
I mean .jpx files only.
Thank you.
