Drag and Drop

I am sure this has been asked a million times but I just did a search and it isn't covered here in the EAP forums. Can we please have drag and drop support. It would function the same as open file, meaning it wouldn't work when there isn't a project open and it would be subject to the same treatment but c'mon is there really a reason to not support it? If there is, can we have it be an option that is disabled by default in the settings panel?

Thanks...

You should file an issue at http://jetbrains.net/jira. I'll vote for it.
Originally, better drag and drop support was planned for Irida, but I
think it's been dropped, because I haven't noticed anything.

Drag and drop "move" refactoring would be good too. For example, in the project explorer, drag a class from one package to another... That's one I would definitely find useful when I'm in a rapid prototyping phase of a project.

Could even from the structure panel drag a method to another class... ;) But that's just for showing off!

I've long wondered why this isn't available.

It seems that "real" java developers don't ever touch the mouse, so it has not been a high
priority. ;)

I would love a more mouse-oriented development environment. I got a Mac
a few months ago and I've been getting more and more into Drag & Drop
because I'm finally using an OS that does it right. It's useful for lots
of things and I think it would be useful for refactoring and editing.

I have a request for structural drag and drop at
http://jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEABKL-3209, within the editor, which
I think would be cool as well.
