MacBook Air 2Gb entry level, do or don't

I want to buy a MacBook Air. In my case the entry level 2Gb MacBook Air 2011 is much cheaper than the 4Gb MacBook Air. But I wonder if it is any good for IntelliJ IDEA. Will it run properly? Experiences?

Thanx!

For a developer machine 2 GB are almost always too low.
However I think it is not IDEA that will cause problems.

It depends on what kind of application you are developing and what other software you need for that.

I frequently develop with a local Oracle DB, SQL Developer front end, WebLogic application container,
multiple VMs with Windows XP to test my web app in IE 6, 7, and 8...
My 8 GB are are barely sufficient for that.

Keep in mind that you cannot upgrade memory in the MacBook Air.
