3431: Copying files from source path broken

If I have the Compiler settings to copy *.txt from the sourcepath, and I change a foo.txt and make the project (Ctrl-f9), rather than just that file being copied over, the entire structure for an exploded webapp is also copied over.

Honestly, can you please make sure the webapp stuff is solid before release. It feels like with every fix and new problem pops up. I'm happy to work directly with anyone, provide test cases, whatever. I just need it to work. At this point with the RCs, I feel like none of these new issues will get looked at until 5.0.x :(

Actually, it looks like it'll do it even for compiling a class. This is terrible -- it makes working with a webapp a complete waste of time. And, to top it off, since the exploded directory settings are stored in the module rather than the workspace (Where they should be), turning it on and off is hard because we share our module files.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this. Ask me for more info if you need it. Should I report a bug, or will it just get lost in the shuffle?

Patrick, I cannot reproduce this here.
Could you please post the issue into the www.jetbrains.net/jira and attach
the sample project so we can reproduce the problem.
Thanks.

Sure -- I'd be happy to. Although, with small sample project files it is hard to see if it is happening because the copy happens so quickly. Do you need to "see" it, or will you have break points to verify the copy operation is happening? Alternatively, I can upload a big file or otherwise make it available. It happens fairly frequently (though not all the time) with the WebWork projects.

Hey Patrick,

I can't believe you're still stepping on it, you must have a funky setup
because this is OK on this end, and I have 10 web modules and 2 java
modules in this particular project, and I don't see it firing off the
deploy every time.

Hope they find it for you.

Alexey,
Done: http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEA-4258

The sample project will duplicate all the behaviors. Please fix this soon -- there is no workaround :(
