Is it possible to stop lightbulbs appearing on top of my code?

This has been annoying me a bit lately, as you can see from the picture above, if you're typing close to left margin as is often the case in Scala scripts, the lightbulbs appear on top of your code as soon as you stop typing. They're occasionally useful, so I don't want to get rid of them altogether, but in other IDEs tips appear off to the side, which seems a lot more sensible than on top of the code that I need to read to see what I'm doing...
