single-file-compilation of classes from other project

Hello all,

recently a customer upgraded from Idea 3 to 10 (yes, he did). Everything went surprisingly smooth considering the big version jump, however one "feature" appears to be missing:

In Idea 3 it was possible to open java source files from other projects (via ctrl-b for instance) and compile them in the current project, without compilation of the actual project, the source file belonged to.

Ist this a feature lost in the tides of time or is there a configuration for that behaviour?

best regards,
Sebastian

Hello Sebastian,

I think this was never designed a feature; the fact that it was possible
was an accident. There is no configuration for this.
