Javac: unmappable character for encoding UTF-8 with 8859-1

Hi,

I've mixed encdings modules that compile well with Maven but I'm unable
to compile them with IDEA and as a consequence can't do any hotswap
while debugging.

I'm able to specify the encoding of the different modules properly
using File Encoding setting, but when  it comes to use Javac, it
doesn't seem to respect the specify encoding.

Typically, file in error with "unmappable character for encoding UTF-8"
open with the right encoding in the file editor pane.

How can I get the compiler to respect the configured encodings?

cheers

Apparently, the option `Autodetect UTF-encoded files` in the Settings->
File Encoding has some problem and seem to be the source of my problems.

When I disable it, IDEA seem to be respect the encoding set for the project.

Now, it'd be even better to get File encoding read from the Maven
project config!

cheers
