EAP for Day-to-day work

Since the project file is not compatible between the EAP and 10.0.3 is anyone using the EAP for day-to-day Android work? Do you feel comfortable with it or would it be better to stay with 10.0.3 for "real" work and use the EAP for general hacking around?

I almost exclusively use the EAPs.
However, I am doing enterprise work (spring/guice/JS Frameworks etc) rather than working with Android.
There is a disclaimer on the EAP page to distinguish between EAP and traditional Betas, however, in the last 4 years I don't remember coming across anything serious.
What I do remember is getting all the cool features in advance :p
Come on over to the EAP forums and join us being one step ahead! :) http://devnet.jetbrains.net/community/idea/eap

Roger,

I agree with Opticyclic. I've routinely used JetBrains' EAP releases and have found them generally to be good quality. There are occasional glitches, but when there are serious issues, the developers will usually put out a new EAP quickly that fixes them.

I don't think I've ever regretted using EAPs, though I will admit I generally wait for the second one before doing so. I'm not sure that's really justified, but I like to hear from the more intrepid users before taking that particular plunge. It can also depend on whether I'm under the gun, schedule-wise, when the EAP appears. If I am, I'll take the conservative approach and wait until a time when any problems won't endanger my schedule.

I generally agree that the EAP versions are usually quite stable and can be used for day-to-day work.
However, sometimes there are plugins that are not available for the latest EAP versions or break something.
So if you rely on support for python, scala etc. you might get into trouble.

My advice is to backup your configuration files and give the EAP a try.

Actually, for Scala, if you want the new development, only the EAP is supported. 10.0 development has ceased.
