Automatic synchronize broken in new build?

I am changing files in the background of IntelliJ and in previous builds
when I brought IntelliJ back into the foreground, it refreshed the files I
was working on since it detected the file had changed while it was not in
focus. It seems now I have to manually hit the synchronize button for the
changes to appear.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks,
Grant

I might have spoken too soon. I will follow up with more detail if I
continue to see this.
