OK, I have a partial answer. Basically I have to register the *.vm file extension as Velocity. Problem is that when I do this, I am prompted for a "template data language". I'm new (very new) to Velocity and don't know what this refers to. Any ideas?
I didn't realize that a template data language was not necesary. Looking at the other file extensions in use for Velocity, I notice that none of them had anything selected. When would one use something like that? One would almost think that Velocity *IS* a template data language.

I assume HTML.
What kind of content are your templates producing?
