What happened to Full Screen mode?

I've been meaning to ask about this for a while... I noticed that Full Screen mode -- View | Full Screen (ctrl+alt+F11) -- was removed in IDEA 9. I was curious the reason it was removed and if it can be returned. I found it useful on occasion. It was particularly useful when giving a presentation on projectors with smaller screen resolutions.

Hello Mark,

The main reason is that it had some problems, particularly on Linux and MacOS
X, that we weren't able to fix. So far we don't have any plans to return it.

Thanks for the response and information Dmitry. It was a "nice to have" feature. But not enough so to warrant working through significant  hassles in resolving problems. Thanks again for the info.

Hi,
This option was very useful for me, when I accidentally working in laptop (15"). Could it be a windows-only feature?

I have found turning off the Main Toolbar and the Tool Windows Bars -- as described in the blog post http://blogs.jetbrains.com/idea/2010/10/few-little-ui-tricks/ -- to be a significant real estate saver. That might be useful for you when on your laptop.
