Would it be possible to sync IntelliJ settings with Dropbox?

The IDEA Server plugin, installable from the plugin manager, is our official
solution for the problem of synchronizing configuration files between multiple
machines.

I guess you could try Dropbox as well, but we haven't tested that and don't
officially support that approach.

I was thinking about synching my .IntelliJIdea90/config directory over
multiple computers using DropBox.

Is there a way to make IntelliJ re-read the configuration files? Or
would I have to restart IntelliJ to have it

read any modified config-files?

Are there any reasons why this would be a bad idea?

Before reading this about the server plugin on the page liked below I thought that I had to
install the server somewhere. I didn't realize that I would be synching to a central server.
