What causes this 'jump' to sometimes happen when highlighting and ctrl-c

Sorry I can't explain exactly what happens here since I can't seem to duplicate it when I want, but the problem is I'll often highlight with the mouse a region of text I want to copy and then press ctrl-c - at some point, though, I'll often get jumped to the class that is highlighted. I'm not sure what I'm doing to cause this to happen, but it does seem to occur often when I have a highlighted region that I'm about to copy with ctrl-c. Any idea what is going on? Maybe I can modify the shortcut that is causing this but I'm not sure what the issue is yet. Thanks.

Ctrl+Click is bound to "jump to class." You should wait to press Ctrl until after you click.

Actually, Ctrl+Click is "jump to definition," which in your case jumps to the class whose name is under your mouse cursor.

Yeah,

I get the same thing from time to time. I am pretty sure that I'm
hitting the Ctrl button before my mouse button is released
--> User error.

I hate user errors, especially when I am the user!
