Full screen option missing in IntelliJ 9.0.2?
I just tried to put IntelliJ into fullscreen mode and I can't find the option anywhere!
A colleague is still running version 8 and we can see it on his View menu - ctrl-alt-f11 - works just fine.
On version 9, nowhere to be seen.
Also, bringing up the action dialog (ctrl-shift-a) and typing full, on 8 it finds it, on 9, it doesn't.

Hello Neville,
The option was removed because it's pretty buggy in different environments,
and we don't expect to be able to fix all the bugs.

Could you put it out as a plugin?
Hello Neville,
I don't think so. This requires supporting code in the core.
Of course, you can still dig out the implementation of the feature from the
Community Edition source code repository and play with it - you may find
it possible to package it as a plugin.

You don't say which OS or window manager you're using, but on KDE (3.5) (on Linux, of course), any ordinary window can be put in full-screen mode (no window borders) without specific support within the application that owns that window. Presumably that is true of other window managers and possibly on other OSes, too. And if not natively, perhaps via an add-in?
