remote debugging in j2me
Remote debugging wtk processes has been broken for quite a few builds for now. Yet there seems to be almost no mentions about this very critical issue for j2me developers. So, I wonder if (most of the) people are being able to use the remote debugging? If so, are there some tricks needed to get the debugging working? For me, the debugging consistently hangs when attached to the debugging process.
There is a report about the issue in: http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=33149

In Pallada it is still completely broken :(
The silence on the IntelliJ side suggests to me this issue does not have
a very high priority, and I'm beginnning to doubt if it will be fixed
before Pallada is released.
Fortunately, the RC1 for Aurora 4.0.4 does still work correctly.

Well - please allow me to publicly eat my own words: issue was just
changed from "Submitted" to "Open", priority "Stopship".
Very cool!

Btw, the probblem appears only with the Sun's emulator. When I use DoJa
or EzPlus emulators I can attach and debug propperly (or at least I
could the last time I tried).

Well, the problem at least also occurs in Nokia's emulators (which
largely based on Sun's code, though, which would explain it), and Sony
Ericssons emulators (same story I guess). Still, the WTK is the
reference implementation, so I would be nice if that platform at least
worked..
Anyway, the whole issue may be moot - in build 2128 all seems well
again, if a bit slow. Joy. :)
