I am getting a little frustrated trying to figure out which inspection to turn off to make particular warnings go away.
From what I can see this is because the wording used for the inspection in the Editor doesn't seem to match the labels used in the inspection configuration screen.
That would be ok if IntelliJ could help me find the inspection better.
When in the editor and a method has been flagged with an inspection such as:
Method 'name()' may be overridden and its functionality ignored.
It would be nice:
a) To be able to navigate to the Inspection configuration screen AND highlight and give focus to the matching inspection by clicking on a link.
This link could either be displayed beside the CTRL+F1 link or in the expanded description of the inspection.
b) When I bring up the Inspection configuration screen and type a search string for an inspection, its nice that IJ filters the inspections.
However the descriptions in the dialog don't match the editor description.
1) I should be able to toggle the descriptions so they match what the editor displays, or if they always matched.
2) It would be nice to see a 'Ignore inspection hierarchy so that when searching all inspections would be in a simple list instead of a tree,
this would save space.
