Annoying bug when deleting something.

Every time i delete a file using the delete key on the keyboard i want to use the enter key to confirm or cancel it. Somehow this doesn't work, but if i use the mouse or the space bar and get a popup about subdirs/files i can use the enter key to confirm it.

Is this a bug? Or something wierd on this system?

If you're on Linux using the Metacity window manager, you're experiencing what JetBrains says is a bug in Metacity.

Unfortunately metacity is currently the most used window manager, together with kwm (from KDE). Metacity really get on my nerves sometimes (like, showing all dialog, popups and whatnot windows on the ALT-TAB list), but the development on other window managers seems to be quite stalled.

Anyway, this is an issue to be solved by the metacity team, or by the Sun so-called engineers, since it affects not only idea, but every other java application on my desktop.

I am on windows 2000, looks like a faulty keytyped input handler too me. Does someone else also have this problem?

Create a folder somewhere in the Project file list, select the folder and delete it with the delete key, pressing enter doesn't work only space does fire the event, this goes for the OK and CANCEL buttons on the "are you sure popup"

Using build 2013 btw

I believe, that's default behavior on some popups, when you are dealing with "not recoverable" operations (deleting, refactorings that cannot be undone).
So, instead of using enter, you need to use spacebar key,
to avoid accidentally doing something you didn't want to do...
