daily reindexing

Is there any way to avoid daily reindexing at startup? I like to have the JDK sources as well as many library sources and this startup daily reindexing takes forever, at least is only once a day....

For developers: It will be nice the indexer to have like two different types of sources or indexed data: one for sources that are practically inmutable, like JDK sources and library sources which never or rarely change and one for data that change frecuently, like generational garbage collectors does. For the first one there is no need to reindex as much as for the second one.

Thank you,

I noticed that I was doing a ton of re-indexing every day when I started up Intellij. I finally tracked it down to the fact that when I was turning off my machine every evening, I wasn't properly exiting out of IDEA before shutting down windows. I never noticed this using XP, but it has definitely been an issue since upgrading to Vista and now Windows 7. Luckily it was an easy fix: I just close IDEA before I shut down windows.
