IntelliJ: 9 CE, Mac: Snow Leopard - Indefinite Indexing

I have just started using IntelliJ CE on Snow Leopard and as soon as I create my first Class IntelliJ starts to create the project indices and never finishes. This make further coding impossible. I don't not seem to have this problem when using the free trial for the Ultimate Edition on the Mac or with CE on other OSs... When looking at what it is indexing, it appears to be going through the jars found in my JAVA_HOME over and over again. Any ideas what could be going wrong?
