Subversion 1.0 is out - will IntelliJ support it soon?

I just read on Slashdot that version 1.0 of Subversion, a CVS replacement, has been released. Will IDEA support it soon? I could imagine thas Subversion will totally replace CVS within the next years, and support for subversion would be an extremely good reason for me to upgrade to IDEA 4.x.

I know that Intellij team changes VCS every time they release new version of IDEA.

Hey guys, do you plan to move to Subversion? ;)

I don't think anything will replace CVS in the next couple of years, but anyone could write a VCS plugin for Subversion.

Maybe Thomas could pick up that idea and write a nice Subversion Plugin. I am sure there are quite some people who are willing to pay for it.

There is a subversion plugin in the plugin manager.

In article <c1da9h$8pu$1@is.intellij.net>, nshelton@appriss.com says...

There is a subversion plugin in the plugin manager.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that it currently works with IDEA 4.

I think an official ClearCase support is more realistic

Well, I don't think so.
No project I have participated in used ClearCase. All of them used CVS. CVS is a pain in some aspects and Subversion promises be a treatment against that pain.
When those projects change to some other version control system in the future, it will more likely be Subversion than ClearCase.
This all depends on how stable and useful Subversion is.
