Cant start IntelliJ 5.0

I am getting the following error when I try to start 5.0

The JVM could not be started. The main method may have thrown an exception.

This has been happening since I loaded it but I could usually keep trying
and it would start.
Now it won't start at all.
Any Ideas?
4.5.4 starts without a problem

Thanks

You should post your ~/.IntelliJIDEA50/system/logs/idea.log

What OS? Could be a bad JVM like gcj on Fedora or something?

I received the same error message after modifying the memory settings in the idea.exe.vmoptions file in the bin directory. I was setting the threshold to high and after experimenting at a lower level than I had originally set, all worked fine.
