Project tree always collapsed when starting IDEA

Despite the fact that before exit multiple packages were opened only top
level nodes (collapsed modules) are shown in the project tree.

Somebody else noticed this?
I tried to fill a bug, but my IE hanged three times on this operation, so if
this tree problems happens with somebody else please, fill a request.

I've noticed it and it is annoying. I agree. If I have my tree opened into
my packages I am working on and close IJ, and then re-open all the modules
are totally collapsed so I have to drill back into a bunch of packages to
get to where I was.

Personally I like it collapsed so maybe this could be another preference setting so that the individual can choose how they want their projects to behave on startup?

I noticed it too.

If this is by design, please change it to the option. IDEA crashes on me about 5-6 times/day so it is annoying and time consuming just because of this.

I noticed it too and looked for a request in the database. Couldn't find
it so made a new one:

Are there any plans to fix it before 4.0?

Hmm.. Wasn't it the same in 3.0?

I'm pretty sure this is new behavior introduced sometime recently in the EAP.

I don't think so. Even if it was, the project tree did reopen until the latest Aurora builds so the code must have been there once. Please consider to fix this for 4.0 as it's quite annoying.

Just tested it with 3.0.5 and on loading a project the project tree
opens to the state it was in at the time the project was closed.
Something has changed just a couple of week ago.

Hi,

IDEA 1131 - I see some steps in the good direction. The tree now opens, but few levels above the one which was opened lately.

Best regards
