Unable to paste in 9902 in Ubuntu 9.04

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (kernel 2.6.30 if this fact is important), JDK 1.6.0_14 from Ubuntu packages. I copied something to the clipboard outside Idea. When I tried to paste it in Idea, there was an error dialog saying that due to the bug @ http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4818143 the clipboard was not working. I was suggested to restart Idea. But restarting Idea didn't help.

This error doesn't happen in Windows.

Is there any way to fix it?
