how to launch and debug tomcat remotely

I have tomcat 6 on remote linux server and I want to configure Intellij IDEA (8.1.3) installed in my local Win XP PC in my grails project to be able to do the following:

1) abilility to launch remote tomcat instance when I do run or debug my grails project. Is this possible?

2) All the source files are on my local PC. While the project is running, if I modify and save a source file ( groovy or java or gsp files)
, it gets automatically compiled and copied to proper location on the remote server. Is this possible?

3) set breakpoint in my source files while debug running the project and the program stops at breakpoints. Is this possible?

In short it should be seemless integration with the remote tomcat instance just as if I was running under local embedded Jetty instance.

IDEA doesn't support starting remote Tomcat instance and deployment to remote server. However if you start a remote server instance with your
application by hand you will be able to debug it from IDEA.
