extremely long delay after editing project settings

After comming back from vacation, I am updating my idea4 projects. I am
noticing that each time I, for example, add a library to project library
or add a dependency to a module, the time from closing the settings
dialog to the time idea is ready to use again is in the order of minutes.

Is this a known issue or should I file an SCR?

Which build do you use?

Ahem, well I don't have to wait for hours, but it's definitely 10's of seconds if you have a lot of module (I have about 20 in one project). Plus there's an annoying 'flicker' where the window gains and loses focus as you see IDEA blunder through the modules one at a time. This definitely happened in 1089 and I'm pretty sure it happens in 1094 too, even when changing module specific settings rather than project ones.

10's of seconds would be wonderful. I just waited a full 30 minutes
after adding a new module and finally killed idea just to check if the
files were updated but idea was stuck on something else. Bad move, the
ipr/iml files were not saved and I had to start over. Now I'm waiting
again. But hey, I'm catching up on all my web browsing and email. I'll
guess I just start editing the iml files.

Jetbrains, is there anyway I can debug this for you (eg, turn on more
debugging to see what is going on)?

Dude you need to be hitting ctrl+break and filing a bug with what the
thread trace looks like so they can fix it... THEN catch up on reading. :)

The thread dump would be great. Press CtrlBreak (Windows) or Ctrl/
(Linux, MacOSX) in IDEA console window.
