Word wrap in properties file

There's no such feature in IntelliJ IDEA at the moment, but my personal hope
is that it will appear in IDEA 9. :)

Hi all,
Is there any capability in IDEA to auto wrap long lines in plain text
files e.g. properties files? I've got a properties file with some very
long text in it, and it's a pain to work with when it scrolls right
off
the screen.
What I'd like is something like the Notepad++ behaviour for wrapping
(see attachment) where lines are auto broken, but a small symbol is
put
to show that this isn't a real line break.
I hope there is already something like this, but that I'm just missing
it.

Hear, hear!  Short of this, it would be great if there were a way to invoke an external editor on wide text files (generalization: mapping of external editors/viewers to file types).
