Sooooo annoying (frame activation)

Hi,

Coming from an X background, and loving the "focus follows mouse," I'm finding it very annoying that whenever I move my mouse into the IDEA (977) window it grabs the focus and pops to the top, over my other windows that I'm currently working in. In IDEA, a dialog box momentarily pops up, seemingly trying to parse something, or check for frame updates that is forcing the window to pop to the top. I have "synchronize files on frame activation" switched off - so just what is IDEA doing when I move my mouse into it??

Please, please can this be looked at?

Thanks.

I couldn't agree more! It is very annoying, even when you want to switch to idea.

Switch to idea, sneak in a CTRLN real fast, start typing a classname, this strange dialog box appears and steals focus from the CTRLN popup, then focus is back to the editor, and as you finish typing the classname, you see you've typed 1/2 of it into the editor!

very annoying.

Yes, good one. I've noticed this as well. I'm typing something in, ctrl+n do something then before I know it I've messed up my source file as the focus has been regrabbed back to the editor window!
