Debug a class when there there are app compile errors

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to debug a class even though there are compile errors in other non-dependent classes? Working on a large project and need to focus only on area that I am working and am not concerned about other areas that have compile errors. In JDeveloper it is possible to do so, does IntelliJ have the same capability?

Thanks

you should be able to run/debug your project by unchecking the make before run in the run configuration.

This won't help though, if that faulty class is needed

You can exclude classes or whole directories from being compiled. Either go to Settings -> Compiler -> Exclude from Compile and add your files/directories there or compile your project and select Exclude From Compile from the context menu on the error message.
