Intellij Idea on Linux - problems with Unicode?

Hello,

I just installed Idea on my freshly-installed Ubuntu 7.10. Then I proceeded to checkout a project from Subversion that I used to work on Windows; I did this checkout from Idea's interface.

After the checkout went thru, I noticed some files had imcomplete names. After a while, I realized that anywhere there was a special character (like í or çã) Idea stopped showing the name at that point.

Then I tried looking at those files on Nautilus - their names were ok - and then I checked the contents on gEdit - they were ok as well. But on Idea, every special character on those files were replaced by ? (interrogation symbols, not characters).

What went wrong and what can I do to fix this?

Hello lixoman100,

For a test I've created a file with Russian chars in name. IDEA shows it
correctly in project tree and Changes view. What language are your chars
from? What are their unicode numbers (several ones, to try)?
