4K Monitor under Ubuntu 15.04/10

All WebStorm EAPs have some rendering glitches on 4K Monitors under Ubuntu 15.04/15.10 and probably also 14.04/14.10:

- the splash screen is not scaled (too small); before the main dialog is displayed, it scales up with the wrong clipping
- the code inspection result squares in the top right corner of the editor pane are too small
- the submenu triangles are too small

It looks good on a 4K monitor under OS-X.

The same is true for PyCharm EAP 5. What's really strange - in IntelliJ IDEA EAP 15 RC everything is too small and unuseable under Ubuntu. I thought all Jetbrains products use the same code base for displaying fonts, images and icons.

Peter

Exactly - this is a platform code common to all Idea-based IDEs. Differences may be caused by different builds and JVMs used to run the product.

Hi Elena,

I am aware of the HiDPI announcement in the blog. But that's why it is so strange that IntelliJ EAP 15 RC does not scale properly whereas PyCharm 5 EAP and WebStorm 11 EAP do. Maybe you can talk to the IntelliJ IDEA team  :8}

Thanks and Regards,
Peter
