818 memory problems

Is anyone else finding 818 very memory hungry? Under OSX, in 3.0.4 I never got OutOfMemory errors (I tended to just restarted IDEA when memory usage got to around 110/128, since it'd just crawl to a halt). In 818 sometimes the indicator would show 80/128, then when some external process modifies a lot of files, synchronizing files ends up spinning its wheels until IDEA runs out of memory, and it seems to keep trying after popping up that dialog, so it just keeps showing every minute or so and it's impossible to close it down cleanly or do much of anything, and I'm forced to kill -9 it.

Yeah, I got that too a few days ago.
Unfortunatly, I'm unable to describe a usage pattern
that would have caused it.
I got nasty "out of memory" errors in the console window,
and I had to kill the application.

BTW, I'm still not using local VCS (I actually make sure I disable this in the project properties each time a new EAP comes out, so that I know I start a new project from scratch at each EAP)
...but IDEA seems to have it on all the time.
(there are some messages related to local VCS, although it's off)

There is also one major problem with the popup window that notifies the user when an "unexpected error" occurs:
sometimes I close this window, but another message appears immediately...an so on...So basically, I don't have time to close the application using the mouse or keyboard alternative. SO I have to kill -9, which is not very nice when I'm not sure whether IDEA saved my files or not.

(When an "unexpected error" popup dialog appears, it usually means that more will come in the next couple of hours, and I'm not even sure of the side effects those errors could have, so I close the application in a clean manner and restart it.)

Thanks for listening,
Daniel.
