Debugging JavaScript in Firefox

I'm doing the trial of WebStorm and I am using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I can't figure out how to do the debugger in Firefox. It seems to keep trying to launch Chrome, but I don't have it installed (and don't want to). I keep getting the windows popup "Windows cannot find 'chrome'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

Has anyone managed to get the debugger working through Firefox? If so, any ideas on what I need to do to switch it away from trying to launch Chrome?

Hi there,

ATM run/debug configuration of "JavaScript Debug" type only supports Chrome.

https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WEB-14987 -- watch this ticket (star/vote/comment) to get notified on progress (currently planned for WebStorm v11).

To debug using Firefox you have to use "Firefox Remote" type of configuration instead (for additional stuff /issues -- see related tickets).

Great, thanks for the info. It looks like it's been fixed in verision 11 of WebStorm.
