Mark,

it is not a CVS checkin - it is an "Apply Changes Locally". At this point,
all "cvs add/remove" happen, so that update does not get files/dirs deleted
by you.
This is somewhat temporary solution however. Stay tuned :).

Friendly,
Dmitry

Then how does one do a regular update on the source code? I just want to
update the code so I can resolve any possible conflicts before checking in,
but all IDEA does is to add the new files to the repository (and does this
every time I try the update), without continuing with the regular update.

Only if I initiate the update for a single file I get the regular "Update
Results" report. But I can't seem to figure out to do this for a whole
package structure.

Should I fill in a bug report for this?

Thx,
Andrei

Oh, well... I just checked the logs, it's just another one of those
cvs.Update problems. I'll append that to one of the bug reports.

I found theres a setting for this in the gasp now non-blank CVS options
on the project properties page.
