Notes on using forum search

I always use the Forum Search facility instead of the tracker search [very
unusable IMHO].

Some notes to other interested users:

1. Searching for stack traces is broken:

Searching for "findfile" is broken. Search instead for
"com.intellij.psi.c.bw.findfile"

http://www.intellij.net/tracker/itn/viewSCR?publicId=557

2. The search engine used is Jakarta Lucene:
http://jakarta.apache.org/lucene/docs/queryparsersyntax.html

Knowing the engine syntax will enable much better searching.

Good searching :)

There is no need to switch to forums. The same search can be executed directly from Tracker menu bar ( Find field ).
Scope is limited to project ( i.e. IDEA ) tracker forums ( bugs, features ).

Tried jus't now to find and tracker + itn entries appeared -> Only tracker
entries should appear.

And if under itn, only itn entries should appear.
