'New' menu vanishes on MacOS X 1.4.1

Howdy, all.

Given the raves, and the release of Apples' 1.4.1, I figured it was time
to try IDEA.

I was able to create a simple project named 'beer' with its source in
'beer/source'. When I click on source under beer, I see that the edit
menu has a 'new' option, but when I select that option, the 'new' popup
window appears for just a moment, then vanishes.

I am on a TiBook, so I do not have the 'ins' key normally used as the
shortcut.

Is this a known problem, a user error, or a complete misunderstanding on
my part?

Just found a previous bug report mentioning 'try ctrl-clicking again,
and it will work the second time'. Thus - known problem.

Are you using Mac's one-button mouse?
