This weekend I changed my cpu to a dual processor and the
install from linux Fedora 4 i386, to CentOS 4.4 x86_64.
I now have something not right with my IntelliJ setup,
since the install it is taking a long time to open a project.
I have tried reinstalling IntelliJ while retaining the
previous user projects and defaults.
Starting the application is immediate if the option to "Reopen
last project on startup" is disabled. When opening a project
it takes 13 minutes to complete. While it is opening the
project, just the outer frame of the window is maintained, the GUI
does not refresh itself. There is no sign of CPU activity during
that time and other applications are normal. Creating a new
project without any source files did not change the symptoms.
Once the project is open it seems to compile, run and perform
normally in the debugger. Any ideas what to look for?
