I'm currently evaluating IDEA 6.0. I love it already, however, there's a
new problem which wasn't there in 5.1: After compiling the project, it
sais "Scanning output directories ..." -- and stays at that for ages.
It only does this on project the at work, my private/open source
projects don't show this effect. During this time, there's no disk
activity whatsoever. But it is using lots of CPU, so it's not waiting
for the network or something. The GUI does not respond while it's doing
whatever it's doing there. It does not happen, if I compile just one
class. The log doesn't show any information about what's going on
BTW: Of course, I can't be sure there's no I/O going on, I'm working on
Linux and Linux does a lot of disk caching. But it's definitely
taking too long.
cu & TIA,
Come to think of it, there are already a million monkeys on a million
typewriters, and Usenet is nothing like Shakespeare!
