Plans for printed documentation?

Hello all,
Does anyone know if there will be any printed documentation when 3.0 is
released...maybe as a separate purchase.
I guess I am one of the old-timers who really like to have a book in
front/beside me when learning.

Regards,
JF

Well, I would agree that a printed documentation is much needed ! I hate to read long documents / user's guide on screen.

Addionally, which makes things worse, I could not see any function to print a help topic since there is no printer button available in help.

Kind regards

Simply look at the downloads page and you will find:
http://www.intellij.net/eap/products/idea/redirect.jsp?filename=EAP-IDEA-3.0-Overview.pdf

I guess a more elaborate version will be available with the final release.

You may also want to take a look at this thread:

You can use any web browser that supports printig. Just use this URL:

I think the problem is not quite clear. I need documentation which can be printed and the HTML-based help docs definitely are difficult to print, because the format is not printer friendly.

Besides, to me the availability of a program documentation (such as a user's guide) in a readily printable format (e.g. PDF) should still belong to the best practices, which seems to become less common.

I prefer offline, analog reading and hope that JetBrains will also serve people like me in this respect.

The often quoted "Overview" document falls short of documenting the features available in IntelliJ with the required depth.
