Debugging session halt java.lang.ClassLoader

Hi!

Yesterday my Idea suddenly decided that it should halt on private native final Class findLoadedClass0(String name);
when I try to debug. As far as I know i didn't change anything, I probably did but don't remember it. I tried to upgrade to IDEA 5.1.1 and the problem didn't go away. I'm running Win xp, is trying to debug a jdk 1.4.2 project. When switching to JRockit 1.5 I get the same problem. It tries to load a class called com.intellij.rt.execution.junit2.JUnitStarter. I assume I have destroyed something in my environment, but I'm not sure what. And especially I'm not sure how to fix it.

Any suggestions to solve the issue would be very appreciated.

The halt is most probably caused by the 'Any exception' breakpoint which is enabled by default and which catches a ClassNotFoundException. I don't know who is responsible for throwing it, but if you want to get rid of the halt, you can simply disable the 'Any exception' breakpoint (Run -> View Breakpoints -> Exception Breakpoints).

Hi!

The halt was indeed caused by the "Any exception" breakpoint. And I had been fiddling with it. It was a bit hard to se if it was enabled or not since the checkbox was shaded. I disabled it and now my problems are gone and I'm happy again :)

Thanks a lot for the swift reply!
