SPTL files

A file with the '.sptl' extension has recently appeared alongside my '.ipr' & '.iws' files - can anybody explain what this is for?

Is it safe to delete?
Should it be put under version control?

The only references to this file extension that I can find are CVS repositories containing similar settings.

FYI, Here is the content of the file, in its entirety...

Hello Bob,

Did you recently install any third-party plugins? IDEA never creates such
files.

Dmitry,

You may be right, I did install the 'Struts assistant' plug-in earlier today, but I couldn't say whether it was before or after the SPTL file appeared. I'll check the timestamps of the files tomorrow and let you know.
I do suspect that this isn't the answer though, as the file doesn't seem to have any relation to Struts.

Thanks for the suggestion

I've looked at the timestamps and the SPTL file appeared before I installed the plug-in.
So, I stored a copy of the file elsewhere and deleted it, safe in the knowledge that it wasn't generated by IDEA.

Case closed - for now.
