Printing from ariadne under Linux

Hello,

Does anyone know how to get ariadne to print to a specific printer under
Linux?
Both JBuilder and IntelliJ 2.6 at least look at the PRINTER environment
variable.
Ariadne insists on sending output to the first printer which was defined.

System is Suse 8.0, using jdk1.4.1-rc, printing setup using cups.
